If one early indicator is right, Pittsburghers should make an effort to enjoy the relatively mild weekend weather.

One model used by the National Weather Service is indicating "prolonged snow" that would start Tuesday, said meteorologist Pat Herald of the weather service in Moon.

But, he cautioned, other predictors the weather service uses to make forecasts show milder conditions, so "it's really too soon to start jumping on it," he said.

For now, it's safe to say there's a chance of snow Tuesday night into Wednesday. And for this weekend, jut flurries.

Some residual ice created slick spots during the morning commute today, pretty typical stuff for this time of year, Mr. Herald said.
