A federal judge today granted a prosecutor's motion to seize $2.1 million that a Thai woman earned from selling unapproved medicines in the U.S.

The woman, Duangthip Chutivaraporn, was 33 at the time of her guilty plea in October to wire fraud, money laundering and introducing misbranded drugs into interstate commerce. She did not contest the seizure motion by U.S. Attorney David J. Hickton's office, and U.S. District Judge Joy Flowers Conti approved it.

Ms. Chutivaraporn, who is set to be sentenced Thursday, ran the website www.eDrugnet.com and around 30 other websites that offered drugs without a doctor's prescriptions.
