Wilkinsburg police today said at least two people opened fire on a Foliage Street home Monday night.
The only person injured was a 12-year-old girl who cut her hand on a broken mirror.
More than half a dozen bullets pierced the facade of a home in the 1400 block of Foliage Street around 9 p.m., most fired at an upstairs bedroom where the girl dove to the floor when the shots rang out. A bullet shattered a mirror that cut the girl's hand has she crawled to safety.
Police found two kinds of shell casings, suggesting at least two took aim at the home. They believe the two fired from city steps across the street and then ran away.
They estimated around 15 shots were fired, striking two cars and fence posts in addition to the house.
