A federal grand jury in Pittsburgh has indicted a former McCandless man on charges of fraud and money laundering.

Prosecutors today released a photo of the suspect, Jason P. Unangst, because they have not been able to locate him since the indictment was returned nearly a year ago. The indictment was recently unsealed.

Mr. Unangst formerly lived on Forest Edge Court in McCandless and was last known to live in Virginia Beach, Va.

He is accused of defrauding investors of at least $1,987,060 by getting them to invest money in a purported mobile home venture. Prosecutors say it was actually a pyramid scheme.

Mr. Unangst is 6 feet tall with brown eyes. Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to contact IRS Special Agent Kevin Petrulak at 412-395-6748.
