Former Foodland site in McKees Rocks will be new Bottom Dollar

McKees Rocks Mayor Jack Muhr said last night that a permit has been issued to demolish the vacant Foodland building on Chartiers Avenue, making way for a new Bottom Dollar Store to be constructed on the site.

The mayor said the new building will be ready for an opening of the Bottom Dollar store by the middle or end of September.

"This will be a plus for residents who don't have cars and can walk to the store," the mayor told council.
