Fire damages two homes in city neighborhood

Two homes were damaged by fire this morning in the Allentown section of the city.
An emergency dispatch supervisor said the blaze broke out in a vacant house in the 900 block of East Warrington Avenue at 3:30 a.m. The fire spread to a neighboring home where two adults and two children reside. They were temporarily displaced and the American Red Cross Southwestern Pennsylvania Chapter assisted them with food, according to an agency spokeswoman, Stephanie Stanley.
