The Pittsburgh chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties is recognizing Findlay for the township's role in aiding commercial development in the Pittsburgh International Airport corridor and around the Findlay Connector interchange.
Findlay officials said Wednesday night they will receive a "Supporter of Development" award March 1 during the trade group's annual banquet at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
"This is a big award, and we're proud of it," supervisors chairman Tom Gallant said.
During the past seven years, Findlay has seen more than 200 million square feet of new Class A industrial and office space, with an overall investment estimated at more than $250 million, according to a group member's nomination submittal.
NAIOP Pittsburgh is a regional association of about 200 commercial real estate developers, owners, investors and professionals, according to the organization's website.
