Fayette County man accidentally wounds daughter

A Fayette County man who was cleaning his inline muzzle loader in his Jefferson home yesterday accidentally wounded his 9-year-old daughter.

The accident involving Jason Eugene Swaney, 31, and his daughter, whose name was not released, occurred about 7 p.m. in the family's home on Warfel Road in Grindstone, state police reported.

The daughter, who was wounded in the left forearm, was flown by medical helicopter for treatment at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.
