Bill Currie, a sportscaster on KDKA-TV in the 1970s and 1980s, has died.
The self-described "mouth of the South" was known for his colorful sports coats and commentaries that weren't strictly about sports.
The television station reported today that Mr. Currie died of a brain hemorrhage in the town of Yelma, Wash., where he lived with his daughter.
He was 85.
