Contract approved for alternative program at Clayton Academy

The board of Pittsburgh Public Schools has approved a two-year contract for up to $2.8 million a year for an alternative education program at Clayton Academy on the North Side.
The contract is with Clayton Academy Management Services, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Community Education Partners, which holds the current contract. The management services company hired Success Schools to operate the program.
The contract covers as many as 250 students a year at $11,200 per student.
