Clement goes to 15-day disabled list

The Pirates placed first baseman Jeff Clement on the 15-day disabled list because of left knee irritation, and they recalled left-handed reliever Justin Thomas from Class AAA Indianapolis.

Clement's placement is retroactive to Saturday.
