Clairton woman dies after late night shooting

A Clairton woman died after a shooting late last night, the Allegheny County medical examiner reported.
Jody Burdette, 38, was pronounced dead at 12:30 a.m. today in Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Clairton police were summoned to the scene after someone called 911 at 11:28 p.m. to report shots had been fired in the vicinity of Mitchell and Miller avenues, the medical examiner said.
Officers found Ms. Burdette lying on the pavement.
An autopsy is scheduled today to determine the cause of death.
No arrests have been made.
The incident is being investigated by county homicide detectives and Clairton police.
