Brown won't play tonight in Pitt basketball scrimmage

Pitt senior forward Gilbert Brown will not play in the Blue-Gold scrimmage tonight at the Petersen Events Center because of a hamstring injury. Brown sustained the injury in practice earlier this week.

Brown will be out indefinitely, but early indications are that he should be ready to play in the Panthers' regular-season opener against Rhode Island Nov. 8.
