Authorities investigating death of Indiana County toddler

State police in Indiana County are investigating the death of a 16-month-old Saltsburg boy.
The boy, whose name has not been released, died in Excela Latrobe Hospital today, according to the Westmoreland County coroner's office. An autopsy is scheduled for tonight.
A state police spokesman could not immediately be reached for comment. Indiana County dispatchers said medics were called to a home at 400 Hemlock Way, the address for the Saltsburg Heights complex run by the Indiana County Housing Authority, at about 11:15 a.m. for a child who was taken to the hospital. Dispatchers said they were not sure if that child was the same one who died.
