An Allegheny County judge today ordered the attorneys in the case of accused cop-killer Richard A. Poplawski to immediately exchange discovery materials and scheduled an Aug. 13 hearing to discuss them.
Common Pleas Judge Jeffrey A. Manning, who was officially assigned the case this week, issued a court order this morning, as Mr. Poplawski's pretrial conference was scheduled for today.
The Aug. 13 hearing will "address any outstanding discovery issues," Judge Manning wrote.
After that hearing, the judge will schedule a date to hear pretrial motions, after which he will set a trial date.
