About 200 conference participants will gather Downtown today to form a human representation of Amnesty International's logo.

The group is attending Amnesty International USA's regional conference at the Omni William Penn Hotel.

At 4:30 p.m., participants will gather at Mellon Square and arrange themselves in the shape of the logo -- a lighted taper and strand of barbed wire. They'll hold LED lights so the logo will be visible from the air and nearby buildings.

The conference this weekend marks Amnesty International's 50th aniversary and looks at the human-rights challenges of the next 50 years. The anniversary theme is "Shine A Light."
