10-year-old accused of bringing BB gun to school

A 10-year-old boy is facing charges after police said he took a BB gun to a Butler County school.

State police in Butler said Saturday night that the unnamed boy will be charged with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct for the incident that occurred Thursday at Moraine Elementary School in Prospect.

The boy showed the BB gun, an AirSoft Pistol, to a fellow student while making threats upon the school. Officials did not provide details about the incident. No students were injured.

School officials notified police and mental health officials. He was taken into custody.
