The Western Pennsylvania Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Fifty Finest benefit is the most successful of its kind in the nation. "It was the most successful Finest event ever in the country as well as locally," said Jessica Giarratano, development director. The event netted $300,762 thanks to the more than 600 guests who filled the Omni William Penn ballroom Thursday night. The top three who brought in the most money were Corina Diehl, Hannah Feldman and Rob Kozel. Along with celebrating the charitable efforts of 50 individuals, the annual party honored Cyndi Nace and Jim "Doc" Mendelson with the Finest of the Fine Award for their continued work for the event and CFF. Pasta and carving stations, desserts and drinks kept everyone happy before the program began and the 50 were introduced. Singer Julia Rae entertained them after.
