Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre welcomed more than 100 guests Friday night as they celebrated the launch of the PBT and the August Wilson Center for African American Culture's three-year partnership "Uncommonly August," at the August Wilson Center.
The opening night performance of Dwight Rhoden's world premiere "Chomatic" was followed by a reception with the choreographers.
Colleen Byrne Travis and Velma Monteiro-Tribble co-chaired the evening. The partnership will include not only performances but also collaborative dance and arts education programs.
