The 2010 Silk Screen Asian American Film Festival opened with a Red Carpet Gala Friday at the Omni William Penn, with guests arriving after the opening night film, "Cooking With Stella." Harish Saluja, the festival's executive director, operations manager Katie Jones and programmer John Rice greeted sponsors and an international crowd (many in ethnic dress). Buffets from local restaurants and entertainment continued the Asian and South Asian flavor of the night. The festival runs through Sunday -- go to www.silkscreenfestival.org for a schedule.
