More than 400 guests made their way on July 21 to St. Francis University in Loretto for Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art's 34th annual gala, "Celebrate the Arts." SAMA's founding director Michael Strueber served as gala chair with Jim Cayce and Nancy Sheetz (she donated some of her hand-painted furniture to the silent auction). Live entertainment, multiple bands and games of chance as well as an art preview were featured. The gala made nearly $90,000.
