The Sewickley home of Glen and Diane Meakem was the setting for the eighth annual Imani Gala held Saturday to benefit Imani Christian Academy. Chairs Fran Fetterolf and Helen Hoey and honorary chair Reid Carpenter didn't miss a detail in the spectacular evening that featured music, video and lively presentations by the students. Guests dined on a late summer menu presented by Bob Sendall of All in Good Taste Productions that included mesquite smoked beef atop fried green tomatoes. The sold-out event raised $775,000. Helping to raise that were Leslie Skolnekovich, Stephanie Greeman, William and Maisha Johnson, Hon. Dwayne and Joy Woodruff, Dawn Tomczak, Thomas and Ann Douglas, Franco and Dana Harris, Aaron Zimmerman, Margaret Weir, Beth Anne Fuhrer, Tom DiOrio, Cliff and Cheryl Benson, Yvonne Cook, Jim and Doris Carson Williams and Pat Counihan with Carol.
