Nearly 400 guests took the Civic Light Opera Guild up on its invitation to "Come Fly With Me," the theme of Saturday night's 57th annual Pink Frolic Ball at the Westin Convention Center. Going with an early '60s nightclub theme, the ballroom was decked out with giant palms from Hens and Chicks and Frank Sinatra's visage. Patti Matty and her daughter, Kristen Matty Lane, chaired the event, which honored the late Marie Ganassi with the CLOE Award. Mrs. Ganassi was a member of the guild for 41 years. Her husband, Floyd Ganassi, son Chip and daughter Annette were there to accept the honor. Guild president Norma Sobel welcomed all to the evening, which showcased "Ol' Blue Eyes" and his catalog of great dance tunes. By the end of the party there were no strangers in the night.
