The 2011 best new artist Grammy winner Esperanza Spalding joined fellow jazz musicians Terri Lyne Carrington and Geri Allen for a concert June 1 at Hill House Kaufmann Center. It was part of a benefit evening formerly known as The Soul Gala and now called Live From the Hill. Guests were welcomed by Hill House director Cheryl Hall-Russell.
