The Ladies Hospital Aid Society held the Wild Orchid Party at the Savoy in the Strip District Friday night. The event benefited the LHAS Orchid Fund, which helps people with hair loss due to health issues. It offers hair replacement options for those suffering. The money raised will go to help 40 children with hair loss. Franco Harris and Savoy owner Chuck Sanders announced the winners of the silent auction. Event organizer Alexis Wukich joined chairs Lisa George and Jeaninne Blyth, encouraging bidding as they circulated. Among those looking for a winning bid were LHAS president Laura Penrod Kronk, Dee Dee Troutman and Tara Poropat.
