The Gift of Life is the gift that keeps on giving, thanks in part to the dedicated support of so many who have received a kidney transplant or have family members who have had this miracle surgery.
More than 400 guests recognized the important work of the National Kidney Foundation by attending the annual gala Saturday at the South Side's Circuit Center & Ballroom -- a great place to party! Before a delectable dinner was served, this year's honorees were introduced: corporate awardee John Heher, medical honoree Dr. Rita McGill and Small Hands, Big Heart awardee Zinna Scott.
Phil and Ginny Petraglia chaired the evening, which was attended by Athena Sarris with son Bill and his wife, Jamie, Sarris, emcee Elena La Quatra, Grant Mason (doing auctioneer honors), Jim and Mary Sullivan, NKF regional development manager Erin Tuladzieck and NKF division president Joanne Spink.
