The YMWAHA (Young Men & Women's African Heritage Association) held its Helping Hands Fundraising Gala Tuesday at the National Aviary. The evening celebrated the activities of the Nia Cultural Arts & Education Programs and saluted its co-founder and past executive director Janice Parks. Current director Eric Asongwed praised her 18 years of service to YMWAHA and the community.
