The fifth annual Hill of Hope Gala celebrated "A Milestone in Our Mission" on Saturday.
The benefit at the Marriott City Center was chaired by Brenda Tate and Kimberly Slater-Wood, with Sandra and Phil Hundley as honorary chairs. The evening supported programs at the new Thelma Lovette Family YMCA and the original Centre Avenue YMCA. Both share a mission to encourage youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The gala was attended by more than 200 guests.
Correction/Clarification: (Published October 17, 2012) The Thelma Lovette Family YMCA and the original Centre Avenue YMCA benefitted from the Hill of Hope "A Milestone in Our Mission" on Saturday. The title of the event was incorrect in an item Tuesday.
