The first annual Carol R. Brown Creative Achievement Awards were given to artists John Pena and Toi Derricotte during a ceremony and reception held Dec. 3 at the O'Reilly Theater. Joining Ms. Brown, the first president of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, were current president Kevin McMahon, Pittsburgh Foundation president Grant Oliphant and Janet Sarbaugh of the Heinz Endowments.
