Let them eat cake ... and crepes and pink icing poodle cookies! The Carnegie Museums and Alliance Francaise de Pittsburgh celebrated the storming of the Bastille by swarming the Carnegie Museum of Art's Scaife fountain and lobby to benefit both organizations Saturday night. The party was the perfect tie-in to the "Impressionists" exhibit and a great way to impress friends with your French. A lively silent auction, Parisian mime Mark Thompson and live music by Steven Vance and his French Bistro Trio kept guests circulating. Feeling the vive in la France were event chairs Dr. John McSorley, Melanie Werner and Sara Horsman, director of the Carnegie Museums John Wetenhall, Von Campanella, Wally and Marshall Katz, Sybil and Peter Veeder, Alliance Francaise president Barbara Tucker, Kathe and Jim Patrinos, Maureen Kerr and Richard Burkland, Susie Katz, Lillian Goldsmith, Chuck and Betsy Watkins, Camille and Harry Goern, and Amara Toure with Liz Bollman.
