Class to feature Screech the Owl

At 11:30 a.m. today, educator Holly Bomba will lead "Birds, Bats & Owls," an interactive class sponsored by the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden and featuring honorary guest Screech the Owl from the National Aviary. Hands-on activities will be used to explore the behaviors of nocturnal animals, local species and conservation topics.

The class will be held at the botanic garden's site on Pinkerton Run Road in North Fayette. Cost is $5 per person. Register online at www.pittsburghbotanicgarden.org.
