Free energy savings workshops will be held today and next Saturday.
From 10 to 11:30 a.m. today, the Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation will host a weatherization and energy efficiency workshop at the Landmarks Housing Resource Center, 744 Rebecca Ave., Wilkinsburg (15221). Conservation Consultants Inc. will give tips on cutting electric and gas bills. Information: www.phlf.org.
From 1 to 4 p.m. next Saturday, Diagnostic Energy Auditors, Western Pennsylvania, will offer a program, "High Performance Homes: The Next Frontier in Home Renovations," in the cafeteria of the Environmental Charter School, 309 S. Braddock Ave., Park Place (15221). A tour of a demonstration home next door will follow. The workshop will discuss energy audits and ducting issues in old homes. Participants will visit the Barnes, whose art collection was recently moved to a new building, and take an evening tour and special guided morning tour of the Philadelphia Flower Show before the show opens to the public.
