Garden notes: Bus tour to go to Philly flower show

Seats are still available for a Penn State Master Gardeners bus trip March 6-7 to the Philadelphia Flower Show and Longwood Gardens. The theme for this year's flower show is "Brilliant!" to represent the great gardens and culture of Great Britain. The trip includes a docent-led tour of Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square on March 7.
The cost is $235 per person for master gardeners from Allegheny County, $245 for master gardeners from other counties, and $255 for non-master gardeners or guests. That includes round-trip luxury motor coach travel, one night's double occupancy accommodations at the Embassy Suites on Benjamin Franklin Parkway, two breakfasts, admission to the flower show and a docent-led tour of Longwood Gardens, $10 in Longwood Dollars for lunch at its cafes, and all gratuities.

Old Economy Village in Ambridge is seeking garden clubs, garden centers, businesses and vendors to sell plants and products or to give information at its Garden Mart on May 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine.
Fee is $25 for a 12-by-12 space, which will include a table and two chairs. Vendors may bring their own pop-up tents. Registration deadline is May 11.
