More "Heavenly Favorites" dessert recipes from the Felician Sisters now are available on the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School website: http://olsh.org/advancement/olsh-legacy-gala/thank-you.
In last week's Food & Flavor section, we wrote about how the school honored its founding sisters at its 80th gala this past Saturday ("For Their Gala, Sisters Supply the Sweets"). At the event, guests were served cookies and other desserts made from recipes or ideas contributed by the 40 sisters who still reside there.
We featured Sister Rose Marie Tumicki and her cinnamon- and candied cherry-laced brownies, which were renamed Ruby Jubilee Brownies. Alas, as we noted in a correction in the next day's newspaper, we bungled the amount of unsweetened chocolate, which is 4 ounces, or four 1-ounce squares. That recipe now is correct in the story online.
