Yves Saint Laurent is getting an identity makeover that involves a name change. The iconic logo, however, will likely be preserved.

Since the 1960s, Yves Saint Laurent has been a leading name in first class fashion.
Now that name is about to change.
New creative director Hedi Slimane is ordering a makeover for the brand, which includes ditching the iconic YSL moniker for Saint Laurent Paris. The logo likely will be preserved.
The news has sent some fashionistas into a frenzy. Is this a smart move? Will the identity update hurt or help the fashion house's foothold in the couture community?
Only time will tell, but in the meantime, stock up on whatever YSL creations you can -- they may just have become even more coveted.

The reasonably priced collection of dresses, leggings, outerwear and more was conceived with women of a span of shapes and sizes in mind, Ms. Hudson, who recently dropped tens of pounds and several dress sizes, told Women's Wear Daily.
"I've been a big girl and now whatever this is, the average size, whatever you want to call it. But I wanted the clothes to be where any girl could wear it -- no matter what size you are -- and you could feel comfortable in it," she shared with the publication.
Keep an eye out for it on the 24-hour home-shopping network in a couple of months.
