Calling all Pittsburgh fashion icons, plus those in the making. The Pittsburgh Fashion Hall of Fame is seeking nominations for its fourth class of inductees, who will be honored at a luncheon at the Omni William Penn Hotel, Downtown, Sept. 29, the last day of Pittsburgh Fashion Week.
Nominations can be sent to email@example.com or Pittsburgh Fashion Week, Box 17947, Pittsburgh, PA 15235, and must include the nominee's name, contact information and explanation of why he or she is considered worthy of the honor, preferably written in a bullet point format. Nominees must have at least 10 years of experience in the fashion or beauty industry and ties to Pittsburgh to qualify.
The hall of fame also will recognize this year for the first time an up-and-coming member of the Pittsburgh fashion community with its Exceptional Artist Award. This person should exhibit traits similar to the hall of fame nominees.
Nominations are due Feb. 20. Honorees will be announced in March. Information: www.pittsburghfashionweek.com.

Search continues for owner of Missoni fashion house: It's been more than two weeks since Vittorio Missoni of the Italian fashion label Missoni, his wife and a handful of others lost contact on a typically half-hour flight from Los Roques to the international airport near Caracas, Venezuela. Lately rumors have been swirling about the pilot's eligibility to fly. Reports circulated that the 72-year-old pilot's mental and physical fitness certificate expired in November. However, Italian media outlet La Repubblica is now reporting that the Civil Aviation Authority and the Institute of Aviation Medicine of Venezuela confirmed the pilot's license was valid through May.
Meanwhile, according to Italian wire service ANSA, a message was sent more than 48 hours after the plane went missing from one of the passenger's cell phones, reports The Daily Beast. Calls made to the cell rang before transferring to voicemail, suggesting that the phone was back in range of a cell phone tower.
Missoni, known for its kaleidoscopically colored patterns, earned mainstream attention in 2011 with its capsule collection at Target, which sold out at many locations within hours of its release and escalated traffic to Target.com so quickly that it crashed the website.
Breast cancer survivors petition Victoria's Secret to create "survivor" bra: The daughter of a breast cancer survivor has launched a Change.org petition urging Victoria's Secret to make a line of bras suitable for women who have had mastectomy surgeries.
"Victoria's Secret is supposed to make women feel beautiful, yet the women that deserve that feeling the most get left out," Allana Maiden of Virginia, who was 6 when her mother was diagnosed more than 20 years ago, told media.
To date, more than 100,000 supporters have signed the petition.

R&B singer Rihanna has created an apparel and accessories line for British high-street store River Island. She'll premiere it next month during London Fashion Week.
"Launching at London Fashion Week is a dream come true for me," she told British Vogue.
Rapper and "American Idol" judge Nicki Minaj will translate her color-burst style into clothes and accessories for Kmart and ShopYourWay.com. Maroon 5's Adam Levine of "The Voice" also will design a line for the retailers.
