Kate Middleton wardrobe spending revealed: The Duchess of Cambridge has wowed the fashion world during her inaugural year as British royalty with cobalt blue, sheer stockings and a slew of looks oozing with understated elegance. Apparently, it came with a steep price tag.

Father-in-law Prince Charles has reportedly dropped more than $50,000 (35,000 pounds) since January on clothes Ms. Middleton wears for "work-related" functions, according to the Daily Mail. Hubby Prince William's salary of nearly $70,000 (44,000 pounds) isn't enough to shoulder the costs of her couture wear.

The 285,000-square-foot space will occupy seven stories. It is slated to open in 2018.

Versace's latest venture -- custom-made jewelry: Donatella Versace marked the first day of Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week with the announcement that her label will unveil this month a line of hand-sculpted rings crafted with a rainbow of precious stones (think diamonds, sapphires, emeralds, etc.).

"As a designer and a collector of fine jewelry, I have always wanted to offer the same quality of craftsmanship in jewelry as we offer with the Atelier Versace fashion collection," Ms. Versace said in a release. "Each individual ring from the collection is a work of art."
