Apparently Lady Gaga approaches fragrance making the same way she does music video production -- the more elaborate and totally unexpected, the better.
Lady Gaga Fame, the Grammy Award-winning singer's fragrance debut, bottles these traits by being dubbed the first black eau de parfum that turns clear when spritzed. It is a combination of floral and fruity scents that are "dark, sensual and light."
Also, Gaga has made sure the hype has been building for months. There were her comments that it would contain notes of semen and blood. Then there was the ad campaign depicting the singer in the nude with little men scaling her body. And who could forget the film noir-esque artsy black-and-white trailer of the exotic Haus Laboratories in Paris where shirtless scientists concocted the perfume?
So, of course, Lady Gaga couldn't let the perfume hit stores in silence. The full film campaign by Steven Klein is slated to be screened at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City sometime this month.

American Girl fashion show model search: The Junior League of Pittsburgh is seeking girls size 6x or 10 to model looks inspired by clothes from American Girl's historical and "Just Like You" contemporary doll collections and Bitty Baby line at its annual fashion show Nov. 17 and 18 at the Pittsburgh Field Club.
Those interested should complete an application at www.jlpgh.org and bring it to the search at Learning Express at The Galleria between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday. Girls not selected to participate in the show may be asked to be guest models during intermission.

H&M heads to South America: The Swedish fast-fashion clothing chain plans to expand its retail reach by bringing its uber-inexpensive apparel for men and women to Santiago de Chile, its first location in South America. The store will be located at the Costanera Center mall and is expected to open in the first half of 2013.
Victoria's Secret served with multimillion dollar lawsuit: Barely there unmentionables and collections of sensual body sprays aren't the intimate apparel chain's only secret. Hosiery supplier Zephyrs claims VS has been including images of Zephyrs-produced products on packages of stockings and hose that the company didn't make. In fact, the undergarments inside are of lesser quality than what the product images on the packaging depicts, according to Zephyrs. As a result, the retailer faces a $15 million lawsuit for misleading shoppers.
