Lina Dostilio, director of academic community engagement at Duquesne University, was recognized by the International Association for Research on Service Learning and Community Engagement, which presented her with its 2012 Dissertation Research Award. Ms. Dostilio, whose dissertation research focused on the roles and processes found within democratically engaged, community-university partnerships.
Jason Lumpkin, senior manager of Pension and Benefits Services at Schneider Downs, is a recipient of the Martin Rosenberg Academic Achievement Award because of his outstanding performance on the spring 2012 Defined Contribution Administrative Issues -- Compliance Issues (D-2)examination. The award is given by the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries to recognize the top-performing examination candidates. The award recognizes the top-performing candidates each year based on credential education examinations.
Neil Capretto, medical director, Gateway Rehab, was selected as Psychiatrist of the Year by the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Allegheny College and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, also was recently named as a Best Doctor (Pittsburgh Magazine, May 2012). He is board certified in psychiatry and addiction psychiatry.
Dan Courser, president and CEO of Predictive Synergistic Systems, was one of 10 recipients of Smart Business Pittsburgh's 2012 Pacesetter Awards, which were presented at the 26th annual St. Barnabas CEO Leadership Conference.
