Pa. reaction to bank frigid

It is unfortunate that the Pennsylvania Department of Banking, in the purportedly free-market embracing administration of Gov. Tom Corbett, is persecuting the innovative Whalebone Cafe Bank because it hasn't paid enough fealty to the trade-restraining bureaucrats in Harrisburg. ("Shadyside Ice Cream Bank Wants To Handle Your Cold, Hard Cash," Sept. 13)

The agreement between the depositors and the bank owners is a voluntary mutually agreed upon transaction. As such, no one's rights are being violated and there is consequently no role for government.

Long live Coca-Cola

I will never, ever, never buy another soft drink at Heinz Field -- and I've been a season ticket holder for 33 years.

Coke was a tradition there. It won't be the same. Pepsi is perceived as a second-class drink for a first-class team.
