WPAHS postpones meeting, schools lift two-hour delays

West Penn Allegheny Health System has postponed its public meeting that was scheduled for Wednesday.
Spokeswoman Dan Laurent said in a news release that the health system chose to reschedule its meeting because post-tropical cyclone Sandy caused enough damage to restrict travel in some areas. A new date for the meeting has not yet been set.
When the former hurricane Sandy caused less destruction than anticipated, some Western Pennsylvania school districts reversed their decisions to delay classes on Wednesday. Contrary to what previously the districts said, students attending school in the following locations must now report to class on time on Wednesday:
North Allegheny School District
North Hills School District
A.W. Beattie Career Center
Pine-Richland School District
Seneca Valley School District
