Children's lamps

Emess Design Group LLC, of Ellwood City, is recalling about 9,500 Hampton Bay Transitional Collection fire truck and bulldozer accent lamps with night lights. The glass window of the fire truck and bulldozer night light can become dislodged, fall and shatter into small pieces. This poses a laceration hazard and a serious risk of injury if ingested by a small child.

The recalled children's lamps have a red toy fire truck or yellow toy bulldozer base that sits on a 6-inch-wide by 93\u20444-inch long hand-painted wood base. SKU No. 167-367 is printed on the bottom of the base of the fire truck lamp and SKU No. 167-939 is printed on the bottom of the bulldozer lamp. The fire truck and bulldozer have glass windows. The overall assembled dimensions are about 12 inches wide by 201\u20442 tall. "Made in China" is printed on the bottom of the lamps. Hampton Bay is printed on the box only.

The lamps were sold at Home Depot stores from January through June for about $40.

Consumers should return the lamps to The Home Depot store for a full refund.

Coffee makers

Bunn-O-Matic Corp. is recalling about 561,000 home coffee makers. The coffee maker's plastic pour-in bowl and lid can melt or ignite due to an electrical failure, posing burn and fire hazards to consumers.

The recall involves Bunn home coffee makers with model numbers GR-10B, GR-10W, B-10B, B-10W, and BT-10B (including any of those same model numbers ending in the additional letter D) with six-digit date codes (1) ending in "04" with the two middle digits between "21" and "52"; or (2) ending in "05" with the two middle digits between "01" and "40." (If the date code has a seventh digit, consumers should ignore the last digit and use the first six digits.) The model number and date code are stamped on a small white or silver sticker on the bottom of the coffee maker. The 10-cup Bunn coffee makers have either a black or white plastic base and top, and measure 14 1/4 inches tall by 7 inches wide by 13 3/4 inches deep. The word "BUNN" is printed on the front of the machine in chrome.

Department and hardware stores sold the coffee makers from May 2004 to January 2006 for about $100.

Consumers should unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool (for at least three hours) before checking if they have one of the recalled units. Consumers can contact the firm to obtain a free factory repair or a free in-home repair kit, or may purchase a new unit at a discount.

For more information, consumers should call Bunn-O-Matic at 1-800- 385-2652 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. CT Monday through Friday or visit the firm's Web site at www.regcen.com/bunnrecall.

ATVs

American Suzuki Motor Corp. is recalling about 300 2006 model year Eiger ATVs. The mounting brackets used to secure the left-front suspension arm to the ATV frame may not have been welded completely and could break off during riding. If this occurs the rider could lose control of the ATV and crash, posing a risk of serious injury or death.

Only Suzuki 2006 model year LT-A400K6, LT-A400FK6 and LT-F400FK6 model ATVs with certain vehicle identification numbers are included in this recall. Refer to the VIN at www.suzukicycles.com. The vehicle identification number is located on the left rear side of the ATV frame. Eiger, printed in white letters, and QuadRunner and Suzuki are written on the side of the ATV. These ATVs were sold in red, black and green.

Suzuki ATV dealers sold the ATVs from May through July for about $4,500 for the LT-A400K6, $5,300 for the LT-A400FK6 and $5,200 for the LT-F400FK6.

Consumers should contact their local Suzuki ATV dealer to schedule an appointment for a free repair. Consumers with the recalled ATVs are being sent direct notices from Suzuki.

For more information, consumers should call Suzuki at 1-800- 444-5077 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. PT Monday through Friday, or visit the firm's Web site at www.suzukicycles.com.
