Pittsburgh seeks partners for youth employment summer program

Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl is seeking organizations to partner with the city's summer youth employment program to give more than 200 young people jobs this summer.
The program is funded through a federal community development block grant with other funding sources possible.
In a press release, the mayor's office said the program is slated to employ 225 teenagers ages 14 to 21 this summer, paying them $7.25 an hour for for as many as 30 hours of work per week in conservation services or administration internships.
Six weeks long, the program will run July 1 through Aug. 9.
