Letters to the Business Editor: Entrepreneurs here lucky
Share with others:
The March 17 story on the Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence ("20 Years In, Pitt Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence Tenacious") provided a good overview of this important regional economic resource. Entrepreneurs in Western Pennsylvania are fortunate to have access to such a dynamic organization whose mission is to work with entrepreneurs and help them achieve success.
As an entrepreneur and an Institute member, I have a front-row seat to the Institute, its resources and programs, which include consulting, member programs featuring nationally known business leaders and programs that meet entrepreneurs' specialized needs. I have benefitted both personally and professionally from my involvement with the Institute, including its yearlong Entrepreneurial Fellows program, an energetic, results-oriented educational experience for CEOs, founders of companies and family business successors.
Like the business professionals it serves, the Institute is entrepreneurial. It is self-funded and experiences some of the same challenges as its members, which brings an added dimension to the Institute's work.
