Kalis elected to fifth terms as head of K&L Gates

Downtown Pittsburgh-based law firm K&L Gates has elected Peter J. Kalis to fifth consecutive term as the company's chairman and global managing partner, according to the firm.
The new term runs through February 2017.
Mr. Kalis has been head of the firm since 1997, when Kirkpatrick & Lockhart, as it was then known, was a regional firm with six American offices.
Today, the firm has 2,000 lawyers in 41 offices on four continents.
The selection was made and announced by the firm's management committee.
