Bayer AG announces new head for U.S. operations
Germany-based Bayer AG said today Philip Blake has been named to lead the company's U.S. operations effective July 1.
Mr. Blake already heads Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals for the U.S. region and will assume an additional role as U.S. representative for all of Bayer HealthCare.
Although Bayer's U.S. headquarters is based in Robinson, Mr. Blake's primary office will be in Whippany, N.J., where Bayer HealthCare is consolidating its operations.
As head of Bayer in the U.S., he succeeds Greg Babe, who is retiring June 30.
Mr. Blake was previously head of Bayer Inc., a Canadian subsidiary, and Bayer HealthCare in Canada.
Jerry MacCleary, who was previously named to succeed Mr. Babe as president of the NAFTA region for Bayer MaterialScience, will be based in Robinson and will take on expanded roles representing Bayer in this region, the company said.
