Samantha M. Clancy has joined Ogletree Deakins as an associate. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Clancy was with Reed Smith, where she represented clients before state and federal administrative agencies including the equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the state Human Relations Commission.
Ms. Clancy earned her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she participated in the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition.
Grogan Graffam, P.C. said Holly M. Whalen was elected chairwoman of the Federal Court Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association. The role of the section is to promote understanding between the bench and bar, promote education of all types for trial lawyers in the field of federal civil and criminal litigation, and where indicated, propose and support changes and improvements in common and statutory law relating to federal civil and criminal litigation.
Ms. Whalen is a shareholder in litigation practice group. She concentrates her practice in commercial litigation, professional liability, insurance defense and coverage matters and maritime law.
Ms. Whalen was named a 2012 Pennsylvania Super Lawyer Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine. She received her J.D. from The Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University.
The Allegheny County Bar Association announced the following officers for 2012-2013:

Mr. Vuono is a partner with Vuono & Gray, LLC, representing family businesses and individuals in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, tax and estate planning, estate administration, commercial real estate and transportation law.
The following attorneys with Meyer, Unkovic & Scott were named to the Pennsylvania Rising Stars list as the top up-and-coming attorneys in Pennsylvania for 2012: Joshua Lorenz, Mary McGinley, Chad Michaelson, Andrew Noble and Jason Yarbrough.

Mr. Michaelson is chairman of the sustainable development practice group and a member of the business litigation, construction law and tort litigation groups. He graduated from the Emory University School of Law.
Mr. Noble is a member of the business litigation group. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
Mr. Yarbrough is a member of the construction law, litigation and dispute resolution and creditors' rights groups. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Charles Lehman was named Of Counsel for Rodella Law. Mr. Lehman's background includes more than 30 years of legal counsel with a blend of diverse business law and hands-on outside operations. Prior to joining Rodella Law, he served for four years as the executive vice president and general counsel for a local manufacturing company where he counseled management in both legal and operational matters.
Previously, he was the senior partner and founder of Gefsky and Lehman, PC.
Ference & Associates LLC said Brian Samuel Malkin received the highest AV Preeminent Rating of 5.0/5.0 from Martindale-Hubbell.
Mr. Malkin received this rating for workers' compensation, intellectual property and trademark work.
