Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. elected the following attorneys to serve as officers:
John C. Conti was elected to a two-year term as president and chief executive officer. Mr. Conti specializes in representing health care providers, primarily in connection with the defense of professional negligence suits and related litigation. He received his J.D. from Duquesne University.
W. Alan Torrance, Jr. was re-elected to a two-year term as marketing director. He also serves as co-chair of the firm's construction group and concentrates his practice in the areas of business torts and commercial litigation. He received his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
Steven W. Zoffer was re-elected to a two-year term as secretary and treasurer. Mr. Zoffer chairs the firm's technology law group and co-chairs the commercial law and litigation and corporate services practices. His practice focuses on providing litigation and non-litigation services to regional and national business, including defending and pursuing lawsuits on their behalf in the state and federal courts across the country. He received his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law, where he was named Most Distinguished Student of his class and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Juris Law Journal.
Fox Rothschild LLP's Pittsburgh office has expanded its litigation practice with the additions of lawyers Benjamin I. Feldman and Mark J. Passero. Mr. Feldman handles a variety of litigation matters, including white collar defense, breach of contract claims and qui tam actions. Previously, he was a clerk for U.S. District Court Judge Gregory M. Sleet. He received his law degree from Tulane University Law School.
Mr. Passero focuses on commercial litigation, employment, corporate and healthcare law. He formerly was a legal intern for U.S. District Court Judge Alan N. Bloch. He received his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
Thorp Reed & Armstrong, LLP said the following attorneys joined its firm: David H. Cook, associate, commercial and corporate litigation practice group; Sarah J. Miley, associate, labor and employment practice group; and Jacques L. Moye, Sr., associate, general corporate, mergers and acquisitions practice group.
Mr. Cook focuses his practice on sports law, white collar criminal defense, complex civil litigation, appellate matters and corporate law. He graduated first in his class from Duquesne University School of Law. Ms. Miley's practice will involve a wide variety of employment and labor related issues, including labor arbitration, employment litigation and compliance issues. She received her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Mr. Moye focuses on mergers and acquisitions, securities and general corporate matters. He received his J.D. from Duquesne University.
Zimmer Kunz PLLC elected Kerri A. Shimborske-Able and Ryan A. Zeli as directors at the firm. Ms. Shimborske-Abel focuses her practice on civil litigation, concentrating on commercial insurance defense, auto and trucking litigation, and general liability defense litigation. She is a graduate of Duquesne University School of Law. Mr. Zeli focuses his practice in the areas of employment and civil rights, general liability insurance litigation and toxic tort defense.
Joseph L. Luciana, III, partner, Dingess, Foster, Luciana, Davidson and Chleboski was appointed as co-chair for the construction sub-committee of the American Bar Association's Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee. Mr. Luciana's term will expire Aug. 31, 2014. Mr. Luciana will serve with six other co-chairs who represent various law firms around the United States.
