Burns White LLC promoted to membership status Dean Falavolito and Jeffrey D. Roberts of the Pittsburgh office and Thomas C. Kelly of Philadelphia.

As co-chair of the employment group, Mr. Falavolito represents employers throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia in employment and labor-related disputes, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, disability, wrongful discharge, equal pay claims, wage and overtime claims, and breach of contract litigation.

Mr. Roberts is co-chair of the energy group, where he draws from his background in transportation law, business law, electronic discovery, as well as general, environmental and construction litigation.

Mr. Kelly focuses his practice in workers' compensation, handling related litigation in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He also advises and counsels clients on general workers' compensation matters, settlement, allocation, and lien issues concerning federal Medicare laws and set-asides.

Thorp Reed & Armstrong, LLP said Joseph A. Pope joined its commercial, real estate and public finance practice. Mr. Pope arrives at Thorp Reed after working at a regional law firm in Youngstown, Ohio, where he represented nationally- and state-chartered financial institutions in commercial matters throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio and other states. Mr. Pope earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh.
