Dickie McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. said the following associates have been elected shareholders: Justin M. Gottwald, Douglas M. Grimsley, J.R. Hall, James P. Killeen, Gregory R. Webber, Jeffrey J. Wetzel and J. David Ziegler.
Mr. Gottwald is a member of the firm's health law business, product liability, commercial law and litigation and medical malpractice defense groups. He concentrates in the areas of health care law, and he received his J.D. from The Dickinson School of Law at Penn State University.
Mr. Grimsley serves as co-chair of the firm's government contracting and compliance group, practicing in government contracting and compliance, commercial law, and product liability law. He received his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
Mr. Hall concentrates in the areas of commercial and civil litigation, focusing on coal, oil and gas law and toxic tort law. He received his J.D. from Ohio State University College of Law.
Mr. Killeen practices real estate law with an emphasis in real estate litigation, commercial and residential real estate transaction, and title insurance litigation. He received his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
Mr. Webber concentrates his practice in the areas of bad faith litigation, automobile accident litigation, civil litigation, insurance coverage litigation, and premises liability. He received his law degree from Duquesne University.
Mr. Wetzel concentrates in the area of general liability, medical malpractice defense, employment law, and appellate practice. He is a member of the firm's employment committee and co-chair of its associate equal justice campaign, and received his J.D. from the Pitt School of Law. Mr. Ziegler concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial litigation and insurance defense, with a particular emphasis in insurance bad faith litigation, motorist litigation, real estate and construction law. He received his J.D. from the Dickinson School of Law at Penn State.
Kate M. Diersen of Goehring, Rutter & Boehm joined the board of the Union Project as a member. Ms. Diersen is an attorney in the firm's school and municipal law group, experienced in land use issues, labor and employment, and assessment concerns. She received her J.D. from the Pitt School of Law. Union Project is a repurposed church that provides a home to grassroots entrepreneurs, artists and nonprofits.
Brad Funari, commercial litigation, of McGuireWoods LLP was promoted to partnership level in its Pittsburgh office. He focuses his practice in the areas of commercial and business litigation, energy litigation and employment litigation.
Reed Smith has announced new counsel promotions: In its business and finance department, James M. Doerfler, energy and natural resources, and Peter L. Kogan, real estate. New counsel in the firm's litigation department include Kevin S. Katona, intellectual property and Patricia E. Antezana, in records and e-discovery.
Cohen Seglias Pallas Greenhall & Furman PC said Lisa M. Wampler was promoted to a partner in the construction group and Douglas C. Hart was made senior counsel in the commercial litigation group. Both are based in the firm's Pittsburgh office. Ms. Wampler joined Cohen Seglias in 2003 and now has an active and diverse construction litigation practice, representing owners, general contractors, construction managers and the different trades in all phases of the construction process As senior counsel in the commercial litigation group, Mr. Hart maintains a general litigation practice. His practice focuses upon commercial litigation, employment and discrimination matters, real estate litigation and health care law.
The state Supreme Court appointed Irwin W. Aronson, partner and labor and employment attorney at Willig, Williams & Davidson to the Pennsylvania Interest on Lawyers Trust Account board. He will serve a three-year term.
